A Message from our Principal
Please remember that you need to be driving very carefully when you are on the school grounds. We want to make sure our students are safe at all times.
As we progress through the month, we may find a warmer day now and then. Please make sure your child still wears a winter jacket to school every day.
Remember, we are "going green" so much of the weekly communication from the school and Home and School can be found on Woodland's web page.
If your child will miss school for an extended period, you must notify the office as soon as possible so we can get you the proper paperwork. Daily absences can be reported on the attendance line. If your child is going home in a way that is different, please provide them with a written note. Although email is faster and easier, we cannot guarantee the teacher will see it during the day. If he/she is absent, there is no way for the substitute to know.
Woodland will be participating in a Food Drive to help one of our local churches, St. James, replenish necessary supplies. More information will be coming soon.
Interested fourth graders have the option of joining a drawing contest. The winner will be voted on by the faculty and will be featured on the cover of our yearbook! Fourth graders will vote on the rest of the drawings. The next top four drawings will be displayed on the back cover. The information was given out on 1/12 and pictures are due to Mrs. D'oNofrio by 1/19. The drawing's theme is The Woodland Team.
