HOME & SCHOOL MEETING - CANCELLED

December’s Home & School Meeting scheduled for 12/6 has been cancelled. The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, January 3rd.

HOLIDAY HOUSE TOUR

Celebrate the spirit of the holidays by experiencing these beautiful homes on! Sunday, December 10 1:00 – 5:00 pm. Tickets are $25, buy tickets online at www.methacton.org/holidaytour Tickets will not be available at the door.

SEEKING VOLUNTEERS

The following committees are still in need of volunteers:

Yearbook, Maker Fundays and Thursday Packets.

If you are a cleared volunteer and would like to volunteer your time and talent please contact Taj Davis (tajbdavis@gmail.com).

Yearbook: attend school functions to take photos of students for the yearbook. Also help Yearbook Committee Lead select photos and design the yearbook.

Maker Fundays: help to shape the students' experiences with STEAM! Shifts are one hour long and are held in the library under Mrs. Cherry's leadership. 

Thursday Packets: sign up for an hour of volunteering on a Wednesday to put together the packet of forms that are distributed to students on Thursday. 

STUDENT COUNCIL – BAKE SALE

Student Council Bake Sale will be held on Monday, 11/20 and Tuesday, 11/21 from 12:00 – 3:00 pm in the lobby. All items are $1.00

STUDENT COUNCIL FOOD DRIVE

Please consider donating to Worcester Student Council's Food Drive!! From November 13th-22nd we are asking Worcester families to bring in items to donate to Methacton's Backpack Program and to needy families for the holidays. Please bring contributions to the main lobby. 

CHORUS/MELODY CHIMES

There are no chorus or melody chimes rehearsals this week. The regular schedule will resume after Thanksgiving. Music polo shirts will be distributed the week after Thanksgiving.

SPECIAL EDUCATION ALLIANCE

The Special Education Alliance of the MCC (SEA) is having its next meeting on Monday, Nov 27 from 7:00-9:00 pm in the High School Library. The SEA meetings are an opportunity for parents and guardians to connect, and to decide on topics and events that would be most beneficial to the Methacton special needs community.

SCHOOL CALENDAR REVISIONS

November 20, 21 and 22 will be half days to accommodate parent teacher conferences. Kindergarten students WILL NOT attend school on these dates. Students in grades 1-4 will be dismissed at 11:45 am. Regular lunches will be served according to the following schedule:

10:15 - 10:45

First Grade Lunch

10:30 - 11:00

Second Grade Lunch

10:50 - 11:20

Fourth Grade Lunch

11:00 - 11:30

Third Grade Lunch

 

RECYCLING NEWS
Keep sending in your TerraCycle recycling.  Please refer to your guide and send in ONLY the items listed.  Water bottles, juice bottles, cereal boxes & cans should be placed in your home recycling bin and placed out for your trash company.
