ANNOUNCEMENTS

WALK A THON – CALLING ALL CLEARED VOLUNTEERS

The Walk-A-Thon is scheduled for Friday, October 27th. We are still in need of volunteers!! If you are available and are a cleared volunteer, please consider donating your time to Home & School's main fundraiser. Proceeds result in 100% profit for student enrichment programs funded by the Home & School Association. Please contact Valerie Burkhart (burkhartkids3@gmail.com) if you would like to volunteer.

 

WALK A THON – IT’S HERE: THIS FRIDAY

Here are some things to remember:

  • Dress according to the weather (see below for class color assignment)
  • Bring your water bottle!!
  • Don’t forget your donations
  • Wear comfortable shoes

KINDERGARTEN / 1ST GRADE MIXER

On Friday, 10/20, Home & School hosted another successful event will over 200 students and their families in attendance! Thank you to all the families who came out and to all the volunteers who made the night possible.

 

CHORUS REHEARSAL

The chorus rehearsal on Friday morning, Oct. 27, is for Part 2 singers only.  Part 1 singers should not attend the rehearsal this week.

 

LADIES AUXILIARY CRAFT FAIR 
Craft Fair at Worcester Volunteer Fire Department on Saturday, November 11th from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm (rain or shine)

Ladies Auxiliary of WVFD is hosting a Fall Craft Fair. Join us for a day of shopping for the holidays. Our Show features a raffle from the crafters/vendors, free photos with Santa from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., a Hoagie Sale ($8.00 per hoagie) and a variety of other food. THE BOOK FAIR IS COMING!  OCTOBER 26TH - NOVEMBER 1ST 
Students will have the opportunity to shop at the Book Fair during school hours. Parents with clearances may shop with their children or during school hours. Parents, families and friends may all come to our Family Night on Monday, October 30th from 4:30 to 7:30 PM.

All for Books Coin Collection - Monday, 10/23, Tuesday, 10/24 and Wednesday, 10/25. The classroom in each grade that collects the most money will get a gift certification for the Book Fair. (Scholastic matches the All for Books collection with donations to schools in need.)

 

SPECIAL EDUCATION ALLIANCE (SEA) 
Join us for our next SEA Meeting on October 30 in the library at Methacton High School, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. We will kick off the meeting with an introduction of Dr. Angstadt and Dr. Gravinese. Following Kris Koberlein, MCIU Training Consultant, will give a presentation on, An Introduction to Secondary Transition. It's never too early to prepare for this transition. See more details in PDF and please be sure to register by October 27th with the link.

 

RECYCLING NEWS
Keep sending in your TerraCycle recycling.  Please refer to your guide and send in ONLY the items listed.  Water bottles, juice bottles, cereal boxes & cans should be placed in your home recycling bin and placed out for your trash company.
