SHA Budget
Sun, Sep 12 12:51am

Dear Breakthrough School Home Association Members,

Whether you know it or not, if you have a child attending Breakthrough Montessori Public Charter School, you are an SHA member! We want to hear from you!

Each school year, one of the first official acts of the SHA is to pass a budget. We, this year’s SHA Executive Committee, have prepared the attached proposed budget for your consideration. At the Budget Meeting this Tuesday, you will have the opportunity to ask us questions about the proposed budget. We hope this leads to a productive discussion and enables the SHA to pass a budget at the first General SHA meeting in late September or early October.

As you review the proposed budget, you’ll notice a few things look different from years past due to anticipated playground fundraising. This is an exciting opportunity, where our community works together on a project that will benefit our children and the Breakthrough community for years to come. As a playground fundraising partner with Breakthrough, we projected a low total fundraising revenue benefitting the SHA and let Breakthrough provide the individual classroom grants from the school’s budget so our fundraising focuses on the playground. When the Breakthrough community learns more about the playground plans at the Playground Kickoff on September 24, and how the SHA can help, we will revisit the fundraising portion of the SHA budget.

We look forward to seeing you at the virtual Budget Meeting this Tuesday, September 14 at 5:30 PM. Meeting link to follow.

If you have comments before the meeting, please feel free to send them via Konstella to me, Kendra Harpster, or Vice President Amanda Lutz, or by email to vicepresident@breakthroughsha.org.

See you on Tuesday!
