In an effort to enhance the virtual learning experience for all children in our community, we are forming a Distance Learning Committee within the SHA. All are invited to join. Sarah Wyss has volunteered to coordinate this.

We know that distance learning communication happens already between families and the school and within our various online platforms. This committee doesn't replace that and we won't be asking the school to eliminate anything from its current model. Rather, we hope to add to what the school is already providing by exploring additional methods, activities and formats beyond Zoom.

The goals of this group at this point are the following, but wide open to input:

- Share success stories and best practices and communicate those to the larger Breakthrough community.

- Brainstorm non-Zoom computer interventions and platforms (best online educational games, etc).

Identify additional Montessori make-from-home materials (review Montessori-at-home websites and online groups for ideas, etc)

- Communicate monthly with the school administration to get feedback on suggestions.
