Warm Heads & Hands, Full Hearts!
The foundation of our purpose is the students at Breakthrough Montessori. The SHA works with leadership to support classrooms and students in creative ways. This year, the SHA has set the goal to provide classrooms with enough hats and mittens for every student in the school. This will enable all students to comfortably play and learn outdoors - which is a cornerstone of Montessori learning. Paired with the school’s ambitious effort to create a new outdoor classroom and playground, this will allow our students to fully use that space in colder weather.
We are close to accomplishing this goal--we have already sent 138 sets of hats and gloves in to classrooms. SHA will use a portion of funds raised in throughout the Show Your Love campaign to provide the remaining sets of hats and gloves.
For every $10 donated, we will add a heart to the wall at the school! Contribute to help fill the wall with love. If you'd like to make your contribution in honor of someone (student, guide, or class pet!) let us know and we'll add the name to the heart. Thank you for your help keeping all of our students warm and happily playing outdoors this winter!
¡Cabezas y manos cálidas, corazones llenos!
La base de nuestro propósito son los estudiantes de Breakthrough Montessori. Este año, SHA se ha fijado la meta de proporcionar a las aulas suficientes gorros y guantes para todos los estudiantes de la escuela. Esto permitirá que todos los estudiantes jueguen y aprendan cómodamente al aire libre, lo cual es una piedra angular del aprendizaje Montessori. Junto con el ambicioso esfuerzo de la escuela para crear un nuevo salón de clases al aire libre y un patio de recreo, esto permitirá que nuestros estudiantes usen ese espacio por completo en climas más fríos.
Estamos cerca de lograr este objetivo; ya hemos enviado 138 juegos de gorros y guantes a las aulas. SHA utilizará una parte de los fondos recaudados a lo largo de la campaña Show Your Love para llenar los vacíos.
