Dear Breakthrough Families,

THANK YOU for making our second annual SHA Scholastic Book Fair a huge success!  We could not have run the week-long event without the support of our incredible Breakthrough administrators and our tireless parent volunteers.  We had a great turnout this Saturday and met our fundraising goal of $4,000, which meant that we got to send ALL of our students home with at least one book!  You also generously donated 50+ books to our classrooms via the Classroom Wishlist Program, and our visiting librarian from the Takoma Park branch library reported that she had more library card sign-ups than she’s ever had at any single event.  (Wow!)  Thank you for everything you do to celebrate and promote literacy!
