Hello Chadbourne Families,

Did you know for 25 years, FAME has been a special part of the experience for kids at Chadbourne Elementary?

 FAME - Fine Arts Mini-Experience (FAME) is an in-class art and music program taught by parent volunteers.  FAME gives the kids a break to have fun, learn about famous artists and musicians and their works.  Each session includes a hands-on activity like drawing while listening to music that helps kids connect with what they’ve just learned.

 We (Anurag and I) have been volunteering for several years, and it’s always a joy to be in the classroom with kids.  The sessions encourage children to “listen to their feelings” as they create, and remind them that every drawing is a piece of art. The students are so curious and truly enjoy learning about art & music.

 All the materials are ready to go—parent volunteers simply review the provided deck, choose an activity, and share the videos or music links included. Just coordinate with your teacher to find a time that works.

 The kids love FAME because they get to express themselves and learn about famous people.  Teachers appreciate the program as they get a break, and it lets the kids wiggles out.  As a parent, you’ll love being in your child’s classroom.
