Hey Hammer Families! The countdown is ON—less than a few days to our amazing Annual Walkathon! There are so many exciting ways to help make this event a big success—get your kids registered, start collecting pledges for this fantastic fundraiser, and don’t forget to sign up to volunteer. Let’s make it unforgettable together!
------ We are very excited to kick off the 2025 Hammer walkathon. Following our approach from last year, we’re focusing on empowering our children to set personal goals and achieve them, promoting a sense of accomplishment and self-confidence. We’re inviting each child to challenge themselves: How many laps can they joyfully complete around our school track? This approach emphasizes personal growth and fitness, aligning with our values of health and perseverance.
Logistics
- When: Friday, April 25 2025 3:15 PM to 5:00PM
- Where: Hammer track field. All students who plan to walk will need to be picked up by their parent/guardian at their designated classroom 3 PM dismissal area and walk to the blacktop/field area to Check-in. At checkin, they will receive both their 24 lap card and lap card bracelet holder.
- ALL Hammer students will receive their very own Hammer Walkathon T-Shirt on Thursday 4/24/25, to be worn to school at the walkathon on Friday, 4/25/25.
- How to register your kid(s) / get involved for the 2025 Walkathon:
- Encourage Your Child: Talk with your child about setting a realistic lap goal. Whether it’s one lap or twenty, what matters is setting a goal and achieving it.

Fundraiser Milestones & Prizes
For the 2024 walkathon, there are some exciting opportunities for all to get involved to bring in the enthusiasm for a fun-filled event and as such, we’ve defined prizes for hitting following milestones:
- $5,000 Milestone: Reach this goal, participants will earn a day of free dress!
- $10,000 Donated: When our fundraising reaches this milestone, we'll celebrate with a delicious pizza party!
- $15,000 Donation: Once we reach this goal, extended recess awaits our young participants!
- $20,000 Goal: If we hit this ambitious target, something special awaits Mr. Bingham & possibly others! Stay tuned for the surprise, and let's make it happen together.
Reminders
- Walkers will need their own water bottles, be sure your child’s first and last name is somewhere on your child's water bottle.
- No pets of any size allowed to the event as our policy does not allow it.
- All walkers may walk as long as they wish through 5pm; until they walk their goal number of laps; complete their 24 lap/lap card; or whenever their adult says it's time to leave.
- Attendance is not required for the entire event, you may arrive or leave at any time, between 3:15PM and 5PM. When a walker and their family need to leave, students are to turn in their lap cards and pick their prize.
- Students will be encouraged to help pick up trash during the walkathon.
- While it’s not required to participate in the Walkathon, families are encouraged to share their child(ren)’s personal 99pledges page with friends and family to ask for pledge monies (flat or per lap) for laps walked.

- If you sign up to loan a table, please mark it with your name and bring the table to the event committee no later than 2:00PM.
