Hi Hammer families,

As a reminder, the Hammer Montessori Foundation (HMF) is a neutral party and does not take positions on district proposals or advocacy efforts. That said, we believe it is important that Hammer families have access to information about activities and organizing efforts happening within our shared Galammer community.

The information below was prepared by Galammer parents who are volunteering significant time and labor to organize around the district’s proposed changes. We are sharing this purely as an information resource. If you would like to learn more or get involved, the links and contact information are included below.


Galammer Families—Important Update

Between now and March 12, the district is considering major changes that could lead to school closures, consolidation, or relocation. Hammer and Galarza are among the schools under consideration. In response, Galammer families are coming together with one clear message: Keep Galammer Together.

How You Can Help

Call to Action: STIC Meeting
The Schools of Tomorrow Implementation Committee (STIC) shapes recommendations that go to the Board of Trustees. This is the first of three critical meetings.  Come and attend to learn and show visible support for Galammer!

Familias de Galammer — Actualización Importante

Entre ahora y el 12 de marzo, el distrito está considerando cambios importantes que podrían llevar al cierre, consolidación o reubicación de escuelas. Hammer y Galarza se encuentran entre las escuelas bajo consideración. En respuesta, las familias de Galammer se están uniendo con un mensaje claro: Mantengamos Galammer Unido.
