December is here, and there’s a whole season of holiday spirit, community connection, and fun in store for our Hammer Family. Read on to see what’s coming — and how you can jump in to help make it all happen!
🍪 1. Winter Bazaar – Volunteers Needed to Make the Magic Happen!
Our much-loved Winter Bazaar is coming up Wednesday, December 11, 6:00–8:00 PM, and we’re calling on you to help bring the holiday cheer! ✨ This festive evening will showcase student-made crafts, feature storytime, baked goodies, and celebrate the warmth of our community.
Here’s where we can use your energy and help:
- Bake Sale Table – help run our crowd-favorite treat table 🍰
- Event Set-Up & Clean-Up – many hands make light work 🧹
- General Volunteer Help – no district volunteer clearance needed (this is after school hours), so everyone is welcome

đź’› 2. Annual Appeal – Help Us Reach Our Goal Before Year’s End
Thanks to many generous families, we’re now at 39% of our Annual Appeal goal — and we’re asking for your support during this final month. Your donations help keep Hammer vibrant and full of opportunities, including:
- Montessori classroom materials and enrichment supplies
- Field trips, assemblies, arts and activities
- Teacher support and community events
- School improvements that benefit all our students

At our December meeting we:
- Confirmed our taxes are on schedule
- Progressed nearly to completion on our annual audit — many thanks to the parent volunteers who helped with this important task! 🙏
- Voted to sponsor this year’s Math Night
- Finalized all plans for the Winter Bazaar
Our next Hammer Montessori Foundation meeting will be January 13th, 6:30–7:30 PM — all families are warmly invited to join!

🏫 4. School Tours Begin Soon — Spread the Word!
Do you know a family that might love Hammer Montessori? Our school tours for prospective families start in January. If you know someone who’s curious about Montessori education, please share the info with them!

🥫 6. Food Pantry & Drive — Through December 12
Our food & essentials drive continues until December 12. Extra donations will go to Second Harvest to support families in need. We have plenty of canned goods — but right now, we could really use:
- Bread & snacks
- Shampoo and toiletries
- Other non-perishable essentials
