🎨 Thursday HMF Update – September 26, 2025
Hi Hammer Families,

As we head into the final week of September, there’s a lot going on—from Spirit Day and Read-a-Thon to a packed October full of fun and festivities. Here’s everything you need to know this week:

🎃 1. Craft Supply Drive – Final Push!

Our Fall Festival & Trunk or Treat (Oct 25) is going to be amazing—but we need your help to make the Arts & Crafts Station a success!

We’re creating a giant table full of make-and-take crafts for the kids, and we need leftover or unused art materials to bring it to life. Great items include:

• Stickers, ribbons, glitter glue, paper scraps

• Beads, feathers, washi tape, googly eyes

• Anything fun, colorful, and crafty!

📦 Drop off donations at the front office by October 10.
Let’s give these supplies a second life—and give our kids a magical creative space at the festival!

🚗 2. Trunk or Treat Sign-Ups Are LIVE!

Hosted by Hammer Montessori Foundation, our Annual Fall Festival/Trunk or Treat is happening on Saturday, October 25 from 1:00–3:00 PM in the staff parking lot!

This year’s festival includes:
🎃 Decorated Trunks & Tables – Give out candy in style!
🧙‍♀️ Contests & Prizes – Best Trunk Activity, Kid Costume, & Family Theme!
📸 Photo Ops – Pumpkin Patch, Photo Booth
🎨 Craft & Chalk Stations – Hands-on fun for all ages
🧩 Games & Scavenger Hunt – Prizes & participation galore

Key Details:

• Setup: 12:15–12:45 PM (cars will not be allowed to enter/exit after this)

• Event: 1:00–3:00 PM

• Contests: Winners announced at 2:45 PM

• Pets: Not allowed

• Cost: FREE!

• Who: All Hammer students and their families!

🎃 Come decorate a trunk or table, dress up in your best costume, and enjoy a fa-BOO-lous afternoon!

📚 3. Final Days for Read-a-Thon – Let’s Hit Our Goal!

The Read-a-Thon ends September 30, and we still need to raise $5,000 to make Science Camp possible for our 5th graders.

👔 4. Buddy/Spirit Day is TOMORROW!

Friday, September 26 is Spirit Day: Dress Like a Staff Member or Friend!
This is a free dress day, so have fun with it! Students can get creative and show their appreciation for the amazing Hammer staff or their best buddy.

Our official Hammer Montessori t-shirts are still available in limited sizes!
