đź’™ This Week’s Update from the Hammer Montessori Foundation đź’™
Hello Hammer Families,
A lot has happened in the week since the Schools of Tomorrow announcement. Emotions have been high and have truly run the gamut.
Right now, more than anything, we want to encourage patience, kindness, and understanding within our Hammer community. Every family is processing this transition differently, and giving each other grace will be essential as we begin to heal and move forward together.
We also want to acknowledge something important: not all of our families will be continuing with us to the new campus. Some will be branching off into new schools and new adventures. We will truly miss each and every one of those families and are so grateful for the time we’ve shared together. We wish them nothing but success, happiness, and meaningful experiences in whatever path they choose. đź’›
🏫 Hammer is Moving – FAQ Group
For families who will be continuing on this journey together, we know there are many questions.
To help support clear communication and collaboration, we have created a new Konstella social group:
👉 “Hammer is Moving – FAQ”
This space is designed to:
• Share updates and verified information
• Ask questions and get answers
• Collaborate as a community during this transition
We currently have information coming from multiple places, and our goal is to create one centralized hub where families can stay informed and connected.
We’ve already started adding helpful information from several sources, and we encourage families planning to move with Hammer to join and participate. This space is intended to support that group specifically and should be treated as such.
👟 Walk-a-Thon – Let’s Come Together
đź“… April 24 | 3:15–5:00 PM
Our Walk-a-Thon this year feels especially meaningful.
This is not just a fundraiser — it is a moment for our community to:
• Celebrate everything this campus has meant to us
• Come together under our theme “We Are Better Together”
• Begin to look ahead to our next chapter
We have two ways for families to get involved:
🎨 Create a “We Are Better Together” Cultural Poster
Celebrate your family’s heritage, background, and what makes you unique:

🙌 Volunteer to Help with the Walk-a-Thon
We need community support to make this event special:

As more information about fundraising is shared, we want to be clear:
While Measure R funds will support infrastructure improvements at our new site, HMF will still be responsible for funding:
• Starting Arts
• Assemblies & Field Trips
• Classroom and teacher supplies
Even in the midst of change, we are committed to making our first year at the new campus an incredible experience for our students.
Please come out, participate, and help us celebrate this campus while we prepare for what’s next.
🎓 5th Grade Promotion – Committee Forming
We will soon be organizing our 5th Grade Promotion Committee for the ceremony on:
đź“… May 28 | 5:00–6:00 PM
We will be reaching out to families who have already signed up, and the committee will begin working more actively after the Walk-a-Thon.
If you would like to be part of planning this special milestone for our 5th graders:
