π HMF Weekly Update – Finishing Strong Together π
Hammer Families,
First, a huge THANK YOU to all of the families who came out for the Gardner Community Tour this week. It was wonderful to see so many parents, students, and community members walking the campus together, asking questions, and beginning to envision the next chapter of Hammer Montessori.
Personally, I left the tour feeling excited about our new campus and the opportunities and autonomy it will give us as a school community. As emotional as this transition has been, there was something incredibly reassuring about finally seeing where we are headed next year and imagining all the possibilities that space brings for our students.
We know change is not always easy, but it was special to see our future starting to take shape. π

π WE NEED AN ASSEMBLIES & FIELD TRIPS VOLUNTEER!
Hammer Families — we REALLY need someone to step into this role for next year.
I think some people may feel intimidated by the title, but I truly want to reassure everyone:
β¨ This role is NOT scary.
β¨ You will NOT be thrown in blind.
β¨ You will have support.
Our current volunteer, Nina, has done an absolutely incredible job streamlining this process and organizing all of the files, contacts, timelines, and systems needed to make this role manageable and successful. She has lovingly built a framework that someone new can absolutely step into.
We are also considering restructuring this into a CO-CHAIR role to make it even more manageable, such as:
• One parent handling Kinder–3rd grade field trips
• One parent handling 4th/5th grade field trips + assemblies
We are flexible and willing to be creative because this role is ESSENTIAL to keeping the enrichment experiences our students love:
π Assemblies
π Field Trips
π¨ Educational Experiences
β¨ School Memories
If you have ever wanted to be more involved at Hammer, this may honestly be the perfect opportunity.
Please, please reach out if you are even a little interested or curious.

Or simply grab me at school and let’s chat informally!
We really do need someone in place for this role, and we would love to help you feel supported stepping into it.
