💙 HMF Weekly Update | We Did It, Hammer!
What an incredible week it has been!
On Monday evening, we welcomed our Hammer families to our very first event on our new campus, and we were absolutely blown away by the turnout. Seeing so many of our families exploring the campus, reconnecting with old friends, meeting new ones, and celebrating this exciting new chapter reminded us exactly what makes Hammer so special.
Our Campus Scavenger Hunt was such a success that we actually ran out of pencils before the evening was over! 🤣 Students proudly completed their hunts, claimed their Kona Ice and Hammer Strong shirts, and families continued visiting and playing on the playground long after the event officially ended at 7:00.
Then came Thursday...our first official day of school at our new home.
Like any first day in a brand-new space, there were a few bumps to work through, but what stood out most was the positivity, patience, and support shown by our families, staff, and students. We officially have the first day behind us, and we couldn't be more excited for everything this school year will bring.
Thank you for helping make the beginning of this new chapter so memorable. We truly are building something special together.
🍧 Kindergarten Family Social (Correction!)
There was a small misprint in earlier communications, so here are the correct details:

🕐 1:00–1:30 PM (immediately following kindergarten dismissal)
📍 Under the solar panels near the Kindergarten playground
Calling all Kindergarten families!
Join us for a casual opportunity to meet other kindergarten parents, celebrate surviving the first week of school, ask questions, and build new friendships.
We've swapped ice cream for popsicles this year—they're less messy, create less waste, and (most importantly!) the kids love them.
We hope to see all of our newest Hammer families there!
👨👩👧👦 Add Your Child to Their Classroom on Konstella
If you haven't already, please take a few minutes to add your child to their classroom in Konstella.
It's easy!
- Open your Konstella profile.
- Select "Your Children."
- Choose your child's classroom.
We'll be moving any remaining students into their correct classrooms this weekend, but if you have a moment to update it yourself, it helps everyone get connected sooner.
One of the best parts of Konstella is getting to know the families in your child's classroom. We encourage everyone to join!
🚗 Arrival, Dismissal & Valet Information
As everyone settles into our new routines, we'd like to remind families that walking to and from school is strongly encouraged whenever possible.
For those using valet, please note that Thursdays are neighborhood garbage collection days, so parking can be especially limited.
Please refer to the Arrival & Dismissal School Map for detailed traffic patterns and pick-up procedures.
Valet Locations:
🚗 Kinder–3rd Grade: Willis Avenue via Illinois Avenue (behind the school)
🚗 4th–5th Grade: Illinois Avenue (front of the school)

👕 Hammer Strong T-Shirt Day — Friday, August 14!
Let's show our Hammer pride!
Every student who attended Monday's Family Festival should have received their FREE Hammer Strong T-shirt.
📅 Friday, August 14 is our first Hammer Strong T-Shirt Day!
Please have your student wear their new shirt to school as we celebrate our first full week together.
Didn't receive one yet?
No worries! Any student who has not yet received a Hammer Strong shirt will receive one before T-Shirt Day.
Once every Hammer student has their complimentary shirt, we'll also have a limited number available for purchase for family members and anyone wanting an extra.
We can't wait to see our campus filled with Hammer blue! 💙
