We made it to Fall Break! 🍂 We hope all of our Hammer families enjoy the week off, get some time to relax and recharge, and come back ready for a very busy and fun October!
When we return, we’ll be jumping right into everything fall at Hammer — including one of our biggest community events of the season!

🎃🍂 HAMMER FALL FESTIVAL IS COMING! 🍂🎃
Hammer families… get ready! Fall Festival is Saturday, October 24 from 1–3 PM, and we’re gearing up for an afternoon packed with fall fun! 🎉
After Fall Break, our official Volunteer Sign-Up will go LIVE! 🙌
There will be LOTS of ways to jump in and help make the magic happen:

🌱 ONE MORE CHANCE TO JOIN THE HAMMER GARDEN COMMITTEE!
We had a great response to our call for parents interested in helping create a new Hammer Garden, and we're giving everyone through Fall Break to join the group before we get started!
HMF has funding set aside for the garden, and now we're building the parent-led committee that will bring it to life.
The first step will be working with Mr. Bingham to finalize the location for the garden. From there, the committee can start planning what the space will look like, what we'd like to grow, what supplies are needed, and ultimately get to planting! 🌻🥕🌿
We are looking for 1–2 parent leads as well as additional parents interested in planning, planting, building, maintaining, or simply lending a hand. No gardening experience required!

We'll leave the sign-up open through Fall Break. On October 5, HMF will connect everyone who has expressed interest via email so the new Garden Committee can get to work!

📚 READ-A-THON — KEEP THOSE PAGES TURNING OVER BREAK!
Our Read-a-Thon is in full swing, and Fall Break is the perfect time to keep those reading minutes going!
Every dollar raised goes directly toward your child's 5th-grade science camp, with funds rolling over year after year.
We still need to raise $20,000 by October 9 to hit our target — and to see Mr. Bingham dye his beard ORANGE! 🧡😂
