π HMF Weekly Update π
Hammer Families,
As Teacher Appreciation Week comes to a close, I wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank all of the parents who helped make our teachers and staff feel so loved this week. π
From helping your children write thoughtful notes to their teachers, to dropping off items for goodie bags, volunteering your time, and contributing food for tomorrow’s potluck lunch — every single act of kindness matters. Everything you do to support our staff is seen and deeply appreciated.
We are incredibly fortunate to have such an amazing team of educators and staff at Hammer, and I’m grateful that we have a community that shows up so strongly to celebrate them.

π« HMF Leadership Opportunities for 2026–2027
As we begin preparing for next school year and our transition to a new campus, we are also beginning a transition within HMF leadership — and while we are excited for what’s ahead, there are a few people we are going to miss tremendously. π
Both Tatyana (Events) and Nina (Assemblies & Field Trips) have poured countless hours, creativity, organization, and heart into making Hammer such a special place for our students and families. From planning community events that brought families together, to coordinating incredible assemblies and field trips that enriched our students’ education, their contributions have been enormous. These are the kinds of volunteers who quietly make the magic happen behind the scenes, and Hammer is better because of the work they’ve done here.
While we are sad to see them move on from these roles, we are hopeful that new parents will step forward to continue building on the incredible foundation they created.
β¨ Events Team
Kay, who co-chaired Events alongside Tatyana, has graciously agreed to step into the lead role next year (thank goodness for Kay! π). But we would LOVE to bring in two enthusiastic Hammer parents to join her team.
This is honestly one of the most FUN spaces within HMF:
π Planning school events
π¨ Decorating and creating fun experiences
πΏ Helping organize community-building activities
π¨π©π§π¦ Bringing families together
If you love school spirit, teamwork, creativity, or simply want to be more connected to the Hammer community, this is an amazing way to get involved.
β¨ Assemblies & Field Trips
We are also looking for someone to step into our Assemblies & Field Trips role — a position that is incredibly important to student enrichment at Hammer.
Nina has done a phenomenal job organizing the experiences that help bring learning to life for our students. From assemblies to educational outings, these programs are part of what makes Hammer feel dynamic, engaging, and memorable for kids.
This role is crucial, and we would love to bring someone in now so Nina can help transition files, processes, and planning knowledge before the school year ends.
Please do not feel like you need to be an “expert” to help. Truly — all we need are:
π Open minds
π Willing hands
π People who care about kids and community
The reality is: HMF only works because parents step up and share their time and talents. These roles are important, and filling them ensures we can continue offering the amazing experiences our students love next year.
π§ If you are interested in either opportunity, please reach out to:
We would absolutely love to talk with you and help you find the right fit.
