🌟 Make a Difference in Your Child’s Classroom: Volunteer with Project Cornerstone! 🌟

We are looking for parent and family volunteers to help bring Project Cornerstone to life in our classrooms this year!

Project Cornerstone is a social-emotional curriculum taught through monthly classroom visits. This year’s theme is "Connect with Empathy," focusing on helping our students build kindness, empathy, and the courage to be UPstanders — someone who speaks up and makes a positive difference for everyone around them.

What does a volunteer do?

• Become an approved SJUSD volunteer

• Complete brief YMCA registration requirements

• Coordinate with your student's teacher to schedule a short monthly lesson and activity (scheduling is flexible between you and the teacher!)

We set you up for success! We provide:

• Detailed lesson plans and scripts

• Presentation slides

• All required activity materials

• A brief monthly informational meeting to go over the lesson
