Join Heyman Family Programs at The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) for programs and activities. All of our programs are free and include free admission to the Museum. In addition to the programs listed below, families can explore art using free audio guides for kids, kids labels, an activity guide, available in English and Spanish.

Family Gallery Talks (ages 4–10)

Family Films: Size it Up!

Sun, May 18, 2:00–3:00 p.m.

Watch a series of short films that focus on size and perspective. Then engage in discussions about what you saw— and heard. Try follow-up activities in the Museum’s galleries.

 

Arte en Familia/Art Among Family *Monthly Bilingual English/Spanish program*

Mire, escuche y comparta ideas mientras explora el arte moderno y contemporáneo en un programa bilingüe para familias que hablan español. Este mes el tema es: Obras tejidas. La sesión por la mañana es para familias con niños de 8-10 años y la sesión por la tarde es para familias con niños de 4-7 años. Se proporcionan tarjetas de metro y refrigerios.

 

Look, listen, and share ideas while you explore modern and contemporary art in a program for Spanish-speaking families. This month's theme is Woven Works. The morning session is for families with kids ages 8-12 and the afternoon session is for families with kids ages 4-7. Metrocards and snacks provided.

 

Explore This! Activity Stations

Sat, May 10, 2:00–4:00 p.m. 

Drop in and explore art created by Asian and Asian American artists through drawing, photography, and arranging activities. Choose the artworks and activities that interest your family and move at your own pace. Recommended for families with kids ages five and up.

 

Family Story Time 

Wed, May 7, 14, 21, 28 10:30–11 a.m.

Join us for a dynamic story time as we listen to artful tales that get us thinking, talking, moving, and creating. Free! Recommended for kids ages two and up and their adult companions.

 

The Heyman Family Art Lab  

Daily, 11:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Listen, explore, play, and move in an interactive space for families. What will you create with sound? All ages are welcome. Free with museum admission. 

Teen Programs

MoMA Teen Programs provide New York City teens with the opportunity to explore art making, engage with the contemporary art world and artists, and connect with other teens from across the city. MoMA Teens offers a variety of unique and free hands-on, drop-in studio art courses and behind-the-scenes, internship-like programs.
