Annual Talent Show February 28th!

Got Talent? 

Can you sing, dance, recite poetry, play an instrument, demonstrate martial arts, perform magic tricks, juggle, or entertain with a skit? Whatever your unique talent is...WE WANT TO SEE IT!

Step into the spotlight and show us what you've got!

Here is everything you need to know about participating in the Talent Show: 

  • Come up with a great solo or group act

  • Fill out a Registration Form (each child needs a form filled out) TALENT SHOW FORM

  • Send an audition video to daniellekchiang@gmail.com by January 31st.

  • Sign up for a time to rehearse your act at school (rehearsal sign-ups will be sent in a later email). Each act must have an adult with them at rehearsal. 

  • Practice, practice, practice at home!

  • Attend mandatory dress rehearsal on Monday February 24th and Wednesday February 26th, 4:30 pm.

  • Show off your talent at the Talent Show on February 28th 5:30 pm - 7 pm in the MPR.

 

Now for the fine print:

MULTIPLE ACTS:

Each child may only participate in one act.

LENGTH OF ACTS:

Keep the length of your performance to 90 seconds (one and a half minutes)

HYPE Squad

We are looking for ENERGETIC announcers to hype up the crowd and introduce the acts. If you are interested in being an announcer, please indicate on the registration form.  If you are doing an act in the show you cannot be an announcer.  

MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS

  • Please be prepared to present your act with any necessary instruments, musical accompaniment and/or props 

  • There will be a keyboard available on stage during auditions and rehearsals

  • There will be a keyboard available for the Talent Show 

 

SINGING PERFORMANCES

  • For a singing performance, please find the instrumental or karaoke version of your song

  • Email an edited version MP3/MP4a of the song to Danielle Chiang, daniellekchiang@gmail.com by February 7th.  The song should be no more than 90 seconds.

  • Bring a copy of your music on your phone, iPad, etc. to the rehearsals 

 

DANCING PERFORMANCES

  • Email an edited version MP3/MP4a of the song to Danielle Chiang at daniellekchiang@gmail.com by February 7th.

  • Bring a copy of your music on your phone, iPad, etc. to the auditions and rehearsals 

 

Remember, this is not a competition! This is a fun way to let all of our South Tigers SHINE!
