Below are some summer program options for students. Please read carefully for individual age requirements and deadlines.
Summer Rising:
Summer Rising is a free summer program offered through a partnership between New York City Public Schools and the Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD). It is available to students who live in New York City and attend NYC public schools in grades K–8. Families can apply through MySchools until March 27. The Summer Rising program runs Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, from July 1 to August 14. More information about programs and how to apply can be found on the MySchools website.
Go Project:
GO Project provides free high-quality year-round academic support led by experienced teachers in math, literacy, and social-emotional learning. We run on Saturdays during the school year and for 5 weeks over the summer and offer small group and 1:1 support to help students make academic gains. We accept new students from K-3rd grade, and once enrolled, students can stay with GO through their 8th grade year. Visit their website for enrollment information. Parents & Guardians | GO Project
Honeysuckle Scouts
We are offering 5-day weeks in the Summer for the first time ever, to be more convenient for you. We are dedicating our programming to the last two weeks of August, as we know many camps and activities are not running at that time and parents are often looking for meaningful options for their children.

Summer camp starts on June 29 and runs in two-week sessions through August 21.

Eligibility requirements
Must live in NYC and attend school in NYC
Must be between ages 8–17 by July 1, 2026
Must meet USDA income eligibility guidelines
Must submit a Fresh Air Fund Medical Form dated after May 1, 2025
COVID-19 vaccination is not required for children, but strongly encouraged (All Fresh Air Fund staff are required to be up to date on COVID-19 vaccinations)
