ABAR Book Club for Parents and teachers
Join us each month for a virtual talk about a series of books suitable for both adults and children (K-5) on topics related to the promotion and maintenance of an anti-biased, anti-racist environment in our classrooms and our communities. Each month a curated set of books will be featured (2-3 children's books suitable up to 5th grade or higher) based on subjects being discussed in our TNS classrooms. While children are free to read all the books presented, this group is specifically for Parents and Teachers of TNS. This is a space we are finding ways to support our child through the curriculum content, and for adults to find a community to support each other.

Snow Clearing Taskforce
When it snows, the basketball court is often left uncleared by the Parks Department, which prevents our children from going outside for recess. This task force is being formed to take action in cases where Parks does not clear the yard. We’ll be working closely with the Principal, the School Maintenance team, and Community Board 3 to ensure our students can safely enjoy outdoor recess, even when snow removal is delayed. More information will be shared as this initiative develops.
