Final reminder that the remaining afterschool enrichment classes start next week! 

Unfortunately, we had to cancel the Portal to Adventure with LEGO and Creative Sparks classes because they lacked the minimum number of enrolled students. We’re especially hoping to get a few more students for the below classes to ensure they have sufficient enrollment to proceed next week:

  • Karate (Thurs)

  • Drawing & Painting (Thurs)

  • Yoga (Wed)

  • FUNKMODE Hip Hop+ Dance (Tues)

If any of these classes are of interest, please register as soon as possible to secure your child’s spot and help us ensure that these classes have enough enrolled students for them to proceed.

Glee Club

Love to sing along to your favorite movies, musicals, and kid-friendly blockbusters? This weekly enrichment class allows young performers to explore iconic songs from the screen while building real vocal and stage skills in a supportive, creative environment. Each week, students will learn and rehearse songs from popular films and musicals, practice vocal and performance skills, create themed props or simple costume pieces to enhance their stage presence, work on staging, movement, and storytelling through song, and collaborate with peers to prepare for a fun end-of-session showcase. Whether you're new to performing or already love the spotlight, this class offers a space to grow, express yourself, and shine!

Capoeira Fitness Fun

Capoeira is Brazil’s fast and graceful Afro-Brazilian art form, which blends dance, martial arts, and acrobatics into one beautiful art like no other. We aim to:

  • Educate, promote and inspire cultural exchange through the art of capoeira.

  • Encourage our practitioners, who are children, parents, students, and professionals, to develop and maintain self-confidence and esteem and use capoeira as a healthy outlet for physical wellness and emotional empowerment....

Premier Hoops Fall 2025

Basketball is a great introductory game into sport. In this class your student will learn the basic skills of coordination and motor skills through dribbling, pivoting, catching and throwing - all skills that overlap into other sports. Depending on the group, there will be opportunities for scrimmage play as well to work on the big picture of basketball.

Students will build their confidence while learning various Hip Hop dance styles in a positive, encouraging atmosphere. Spanish class

Students will participate in a series of events in a foreign language being led by a dynamic, energetic teacher that gives all directions in the foreign language. 

The teacher greets them in the foreign language at the door, and invites all students to sit in the conversation circle or desks.

The children begin to sing the “greeting song” as the teacher joins the group. The teacher then begins showing flash cards of the alphabet and numbers. For review, the teacher shows posters, and the children respond with action sentences.

Directions are given in the foreign language and following the IES Six-Step teaching process, an entire series of game activities, utilizing visual aids depicting the learning objectives will begin. If any student needs the teacher’s attention, that student will raise his or her hand and say “excuse me” in the foreign language.

Games will be played! Songs will be sung! After 55 minutes have passed, the teacher groups the children in the conversation circle to give instructions for home reinforcement and to wish each other a fond good-bye for the week through song.

YOGA

The Yoga program introduces children to basic yoga poses, mindfulness, and breathing techniques in a playful and age-appropriate way. Through movement, imagination, and calm focus, students build strength, flexibility, and emotional awareness. Yoga supports self-regulation, confidence, and physical coordination. This program blends individual and group experiences to help students feel grounded, centered, and connected.

IMPROV

Improvisation (Improv) fosters spontaneity, creativity, and confidence in students through fun, unscripted performance. This program helps children develop communication skills, active listening, quick thinking, and collaboration—all while having fun through drama games and improv exercises. It is particularly beneficial for students who may not feel comfortable performing scripted scenes, offering a low-pressure, playful approach to expression and storytelling.

General Objectives:

  • Cultivate quick thinking and adaptability in social and performance situations

  • Encourage collaboration, listening, and teamwork

  • Build confidence in self-expression and risk-taking

KARATE

Karate is a dynamic martial art that teaches children discipline, respect, and self-confidence while helping develop physical coordination, balance, and strength. This after-school program introduces students to the fundamentals of Karate in a fun and supportive environment. Classes are designed to build self-awareness, self-control, and teamwork, while also offering an outlet for energy and a foundation in mindfulness through movement.

No experience is necessary, and all activities are adapted to be age-appropriate, safe, and aligned with students’ developmental stages. The program culminates in a final demonstration or belt ceremony to celebrate student progress....

The Drawing & Painting program introduces students to foundational techniques and expressive forms of visual art using accessible materials. Participants explore their creativity while developing fine motor skills, patience, and visual-spatial awareness. The program progresses from basic shapes and color theory to more complex art forms like still life and abstract painting.

This hands-on program encourages self-expression and cultural appreciation through age-appropriate projects, creating a space where students can build confidence and develop a lifelong appreciation for the arts.
