Dear Walnut Acres families,

We want to thank you for all your book donations during the Darcie Jones Book  Drive. The Books for the Barrios project is very thankful and reminded us of how many children from remote communities will benefit from this contribution. Their volunteers access some of those remote areas in the Philippines by riding  donkeys, as many of them do not have roads available. They explained to us that many of these children never have seen a picture book. Therefore your kindness will touch many hearts.

At the same time, Shore Acres Elementary School welcomed some books in Spanish that will benefit monolingual families that are in the process of learning English.
