PFC Meeting Tonight via ZOOM

Participate in First General PFC Meeting on Zoom TONIGHT at 7:00 PM!

If you are a parent/guardian/caregiver of a student at Walnut Acres, you are already a member of the Walnut Acres PFC! Please join the general meeting TONIGHT at 7:00 PM to hear Principal Thomas talk about the state of the school, learn about upcoming social events, and get updates from teachers about how students are growing in their learning each month!

ICE CREAM SOCIAL

Thursday, August 22nd from 5:30pm to 7:30pm

This event is free and open to all students, families, faculty, and staff members.

Thanks to Walnut Acres Children's Center for donating the ice cream! We also need your help to make this event a success: Here is the Konstella sign-up link to help serve ice cream.

Our Ice Cream Social promises an evening of fun, laughter, and the sweetest memories. Can’t wait to see you there!

Dine & Donate Next Thursday!

Next Thursday, August 29th is our first Dine & Donate night of the year!

We’re starting with one of our favorites from last year, just down the street at Mendocino Farms in the Ygnacio Plaza Shopping Center. Stop in to grab a meal and support our kids. PLUS - they are donating 20% back to our school!

Auction Gala Info & Volunteer Opportunities

Every year, our school community gathers to raise funds that directly enhance the education and experiences of our students. This year we are excited to bring you a night at the Golden Age of Hollywood. Bring out all your best 1920s-1960 Hollywood inspiration and show up on March 14, 2025 to walk that red carpet.

We still have volunteer opportunities on the Auction Committee and would love for you to join  us!  If you are interested in any of the following volunteer opportunities, please email auction@walnutacrespfc.net.

Volunteer Opportunities

  • Party Committee: Calling all creatives! Help shape the auction experience by brainstorming and implementing decorations and ideas that align with our theme.
  • Donations Committee:  Reach out to local businesses and organizations to secure exciting items for our auction and valuable sponsorships. 
  • Event Execution: Help with the execution of the event from set up, check in, and gathering up the items at the end of the night- a great way to attend the event if you don’t get a ticket! 
  • Closing Committee: Help with the accounting and documentation of the auction to ensure we collect the funds and winners get their items.

Thank you for being an essential part of our school family. Your dedication and support continue to inspire us, and we're excited to see the incredible results we can achieve together.

Donate to the Jaguar Fund by August 31st and you will be entered in a drawing to win Two (2) Walnut Acres Auction tickets!

The suggested donation for the 2024-2025 school year is $65 per month or a one-time donation of $650, per child.

Our Goal is 100% Participation. Understanding that every family situation is different, the goal of the Jaguar Fund is 100% Participation, regardless of the dollar amount. No amount is too small, and every dollar will make a difference for our school.

Help us keep the wonderful programs we have in place by making a secure donation to the Jaguar Fund through Konstella.

Our school year is off to an amazing start because of you. The Walnut Acres PFC wants to thank the many volunteers who have organized and kicked off our 2024-2025 year in such an exciting and informative way! Each event strengthens our school community, promotes belonging, and aids in improving our students' learning experience. Fall Carnival is coming Saturday, September 28th, 4-7pm. Mark your calendar, you won’t want to miss this family friendly fun event.

 Join the Drive Thru Line!

Parents & Grandparents: Help us in the Drive Thru line as we open doors and greet students arriving at school. August is one of the few months that parents will be asked to help this year. We will be unveiling a new and exciting program that our Student Council will be involved with. But for August we would appreciate 2-4 helpers each day. Can you help for 15 minutes in the morning, 7:45 - 8:00 am? If so, please sign up here!

Important Message! Your students’ safety is our utmost concern and do not want their safety endangered. 

  • Drive SLOWLY in our Walnut Acres School Zone
  • Do NOT use the driveway as a crossing to the school either by bike or foot.
  • Observe all “No Parking” signs
  • Have your students exit the car by the passengers side only.

Is your child’s birthday during the summer? Consider a “half-birthday” greeting 6 months after their birthday.
