Makers Market
The First Annual Walnut Acres 4th/5th Grade Makers Market is coming this December and it is your 4th or 5th grader's chance to start their own business and sell their items to the Walnut Acres community.
It’s not too early to start planning, making, creating and building. You’ll need at least 20 items to pop up your shop. Remember, all items need to be kid-made.
If you have questions, email makersmarket@walnutacrespfc.net or talk to Michelle Lederman or Susan Heffran

The City of Walnut Creek’s Community Service Day (CSD) falls on the last weekend of Fall Recess (October 12) this year. So we’ve proposed limiting Walnut Acres’ participation in CSD to large junk/debris removal, with the tentative plan to have 3-5 volunteers with trucks pick up large items designated by teachers/staff for disposal from designated points at the school, load it into their trucks and bring it to the dumpsters provided by the City at Heather Farm.
Please sign up here if you’re available to help on the morning of Saturday, October 12 and have access to a truck.
We’re identifying alternative dates to hold a separate Walnut Acres Service Day(s) and will inform parents soon. In the meanwhile, we’d like to know if you have ideas about potential projects that parents can work together to execute in a roughly 4 hour timeframe. If you have ideas, feel free to note them in this brief survey (you can submit multiple entries).
Questions or suggestions? Feel free to reach out to Dareyn Stilwell at dareyn@gmail.com.
