After School Enrichment
Wish we offered dragon training? Tiny home building? There’s still time to shape the future After-School Enrichment programming by sharing your valuable feedback in our survey.
Many After School Enrichment classes start this week and there are still some spaces available! Be sure to check out Konstella to review and sign-up.
We added a Spanish language class for 1st-5th graders on Tues afternoon. It starts on 9/10 and needs more sign-ups to prevent cancellation. If interested, you can enroll here.

Emergency Kits: Purchase by September 9
Purchase a pre-made food kit from Walnut Acres PFC for $7 via Kostella. Purchase one for EACH Walnut Acres student in your family. Each pre-made kit contains 4-5 items such as granola/kids nutrition bars, applesauce pouches, dried fruit snacks. Kits will be delivered to classroom teachers by the PFC Emergency Preparedness Committee. While our goal is to provide a NUT-FREE kit, the Walnut Acres PFC cannot guarantee that all items provided in the kit will not contain nuts. If your child has nut allergies, please consider providing your own Emergency Kit in order to ensure an allergen-free kit.

The Jaguar Fund is the Parent Faculty Club’s primary source of funds to bridge the gap between public funding and the true cost of our children’s education at Walnut Acres. 
Anyone that donates will receive a Walnut Acres Adventures Awaits car magnet showing their support!
Our Goal is 100% Participation. Understanding that every family situation is different, the goal of the Jaguar Fund is 100% Participation, regardless of the dollar amount. No amount is too small, and every dollar will make a difference for our school.
You can make a secure donation to the Jaguar Fund online on Konstella, or if you’d like to make a cash or check donation, you can drop-off your donation at the school’s front office.

Fall Carnival tickets are available now: Buy your tickets here! Carnival will be Saturday, September 28th, 4-7pm to Walnut Acres blacktop. You won’t want to miss this family friendly fun event with games, music, food, prizes and so much fun.

Looking for ways to connect with other families at Walnut Acres? Check out the social groups on Konstella! There are a variety of groups that have been started by WAE parents, such as Jaguar Dads, Spanish Speaking Parents/Kids, LGBTQ+ Families, and many more.

5th Grade Parents- September is your month to host Drive-Thru!
5th Grade Families: Please help us in the Drive Thru line as we open doors and greet students while they are arriving at school. As mentioned previously we have a new exciting program that will be introduced later in the year, but for now we are asking the grade levels to assist. We would appreciate 2-4 helpers each day. Can you help for 20 minutes in the morning, 7:40 - 8:00am? If so, please sign up!

Keep in mind you do not have to be a 5th Grade Parent to volunteer! All are welcome to volunteer for Drive-Thru!
