In light of current Coronavirus situation, STEAM night is postponed until further notice!
SAMPLE STEAM LAB PROJECTS:
WCMS will be hosting STEAM night, in conjunction with the Richmond Fab Lab.
We are planning to set up at least 8 STEAM workstations/tables, where students will engage in various hands on activities in science, technology, engineering, art and math.
Students will receive a stamp in their passport for completing a project at each workstation.
The Richmond Fab Lab will be providing bags for students, stamps for stations and materials costs for many of the projects.
In order to make this a successful event that engages students, we will need parent volunteers to lead and support each of the workstations.
There are a list of STEAM suggested projects below. However, we're open to any other STEAM Lab projects. Keep in mind that we need to be able to gather materials for a bunch of students to do that project though.
Parent help is needed to take a project, identify/gather the materials that are needed, and test the project at home with their child. Parents will also manage their specific project workstation on STEAM night.
Please help make this event a success for all of our WCMS students and sign up!
