1. Tonight: Scholastic Book Fair & Game Night
A reminder that the PTA is hosting our 4th Annual Family Game Night tonight, Friday, March 6th, from 5:30-7:30 pm in the WCMS elementary campus MPR room.  Students and families from all grades (both campuses) are invited to attend. Families can also shop our Book Fair from 4-5pm, and our 4th grade class will be selling pizza, drinks, and snacks to raise funds for their study trip next year. We hope you will join us, and there is still room for volunteers to host games, if there is a game you are excited to share with our community. All students who participate in Game Night will be entered in a complimentary drawing for a chance to win 1 of 3 Book Fair Science Kits. Note: Parents must stay with and supervise their children, this is not a drop-off event.

WCMS will be participating in the San Francisco Chinese New Year Parade! Tune in to watch our students on TV or online.

3. Elementary Science Fair - Wednesday-Friday, March 11-13
The Elementary Science Fair 2026 will take place during school hours on 3/11, 3/12, and 3/13. All students in grades TK through 5 will take turns visiting the presentations of other grades. On Friday, 3/13/2026, all students are welcome to display their science project in the MPR and families are welcome to view them between 2:00-2:40 pm. Tri-fold poster boards for the Science Fair can be picked up from the front office. If you have registered your child, please have them pick up their board or help them to do so. Please only take one board if your child is participating in a group project. Click here for more details. We are looking for a few parents to attend the fair on each day to help set up. Please sign up to volunteer here.

4. Middle School Open House - Thursday, March 12
The Middle School Open House is on Thursday, March 12 from 5:00-6:30pm at the Middle School Campus. Please see the Open House flyer for additional details or this post Konstella. 🥤🍕Food and drinks will be sold to support the 5th Grade Fundraising. The After School Program will be extended until 6:30 PM for enrolled students. Thursday (3/12) is a regular school day schedule and Friday (3/13) the Middle School only is on a Minimum Day schedule.

5. Dine-In/Dine-Out Fundraiser at Nation's
Just in time for Pi day! Support school programs with dinner and pies at Nation's.  20% of sales benefit WCMS PTA when you mention "WCMS" at check out or follow instructions in the online flyer if ordering online for pickup.

6. In-person PTA General Meeting 3/19 (RSVP requested)
We are excited to invite you to the upcoming WCMS General PTA Meeting, which will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026, from 6:00-7:30 PM in the Multi-Purpose Room at our elementary campus.  This will be our only in-person general meeting of the year, so please join us to keep up to date with school news and events, discuss important issues, hear from our principal, Dr. Peterson, and build community with fellow WCMS families!

Dinner will be provided! To ensure we order enough food, please RSVP by Monday, March 16th via the Konstella post. Childcare services will also be available during the meeting. We look forward to your presence and active involvement in our WCMS community. Together, we can make a positive impact on our children's educational journey. 7. Searching for PTA Executive Board candidates for the 2026-27 school year
We’re recruiting committed, forward‑thinking problem-solvers to join the 2026–27 PTA Executive Board — a team that will help chart the course for our school’s growth, resilience, and success.

8. Sports Committee Updates
Basketball: Congratulations to our 4th-6th graders who participated in the WCCUSD basketball tournament last weekend and won both games! 

WCMS Basketball is going strong and is still open to kids in grades 2-8. If you are interested, please join by coming to practice soon.  Kids will continue to participate in outside spring leagues and tournaments, thanks to parent volunteers. Practices are:

• 2nd-4th graders: Mondays 6-7pm at Soskin gym
• 5th-8th graders: Tuesdays and Thursdays 6-7pm at Soskin gym
• There are also sometimes Friday practices depending on the tournament schedule.  No practice tonight - come to game night instead!

11. Recordatorios

• Objetos perdidos: ¡ El departamento de objetos perdidos de la escuela está a reventar! Si su hijo ha perdido algo en la escuela, pídale que lo revise o venga a revisarlo después de clases. 1. 今晚：学乐书展暨游戏之夜
提醒各位家长，家长教师协会（PTA）将于今晚（3月6日，星期五）下午5:30至7:30在WCMS小学部多功能厅举办第四届年度家庭游戏之夜。欢迎所有年级（两个校区）的学生和家长参加。家长们还可以在下午4点至5点逛逛我们的学乐书展，四年级学生还将售卖披萨、饮料和小吃，为他们明年的学习旅行筹款。我们期待您的光临！如果您有想与大家分享的游戏，我们仍然需要志愿者来主持游戏。所有参加游戏之夜的学生都将有机会参与抽奖，赢取3套学乐书展科学实验套装中的1套。请注意：家长必须陪同并监督自己的孩子，本次活动不接受家长将孩子单独留在学校。

WCMS篮球队目前发展势头良好，仍然欢迎二至八年级的学生加入。如果您有兴趣，请尽快来参加训练。感谢家长志愿者的支持，孩子们将继续参加春季校外联赛和锦标赛。训练时间如下：
