1. Campus Transition - VOLUNTEERS NEEDED (URGENT)
We need volunteers to help teachers pack classrooms, especially on Thursday and Friday, June 11–12. Please sign up here to help on those two days. Additional shifts include a Pizza & Packing Party on Saturday, June 13.

2. Please complete District Facilities Survey by Friday, 6/12
The school district is updating its 10-year Facilities Master Plan and seeking feedback through a survey (important — this guides future funding and bond priorities). Our school will move to a new campus this summer, so the PTA recommends we coordinate responses to make sure our needs are heard. Click on this link to take the survey and see the PTA’s suggested responses. Deadline is Friday, June 12.
3. Boba Sale After-school
The 5th Grade Field Trip Fundraising Committee is hosting a Boba Sale today, 6/5 from 2:00–3:00 PM after school! Cool down with a cup of delicious, refreshing boba and help support next year’s 5th grade science overnight trip. Bring a cup and save a buck.
4. Panda Express Dine-Out - Thursday, June 11
Support our school by placing an online order for pickup or delivery at any Panda Express location nationwide on Thursday, June 11. Go to http://www.pandaexpress.com and enter the code 9015468 in the Fundraiser Code box during online checkout. Forward the link to friends and family, as orders can be placed at any of the over 2000 Panda Express restaurants in the United States, and 28% of all sales will be donated to our PTA!
5. Celebrate Juneteenth with WCMS!
Join WCMS students, families, and staff at the Richmond Juneteenth Parade and Festival on Saturday, June 20 as we celebrate African American history, culture, and community.

- Parade Start: 10:00 a.m.
- Location: Richmond Fire Training Center, 3506 Cutting Blvd.
Show your WCMS spirit by walking with us in the parade! All students, families, and staff are welcome to participate. Be sure to wear your WCMS T-shirt if you have one, and sign up if you plan to join the parade.

Stop by the WCMS booth to enjoy activities, learn more about our school, and connect with the community. We are also seeking volunteers to help staff the booth throughout the day. Volunteers will have the opportunity to welcome community members, share information about WCMS and our Dual Language Immersion program, and help make the event a success.
We look forward to celebrating Juneteenth together!
6. 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony
Students and families are invited to attend the 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony on Thursday, June 11th, from 6:00–7:30 p.m. at the Soskin Middle School Gymnasium. Please come to the Middle School Office to pick up your tickets. Tickets are free but are required for identification and security purposes. If you are unable to pick them up yourself and would like your child to pick them up on your behalf, please email the school at westcountymandarin@wccusd.net to let them know. A reception for students and families will follow immediately after the ceremony. To help make this celebration a memorable event honoring our students’ hard work and achievements, we are looking for volunteers to assist with decorations, refreshments, setup, and cleanup. Volunteering is a wonderful way to support and celebrate this important milestone with our graduating class. Sign up here.
7. Kindergarten Promotion Ceremony Guidelines
The Kindergarten Promotion and Celebration will take place on Friday, June 12th, in the Pinole Middle School Gymnasium. Kindergarten students should be dropped off at the Kindergarten entrance by 8:15 a.m. and may wear either their dark blue tops with khaki bottoms or formal attire (no caps or gowns). Families are asked to park respectfully on nearby neighborhood streets and avoid school lots, business parking areas, driveways, and wheelchair access zones. Gym doors will open around 9:00 a.m., and all guests and students must sign in and sign out if leaving before noon. To ensure all guests can comfortably enjoy the ceremony, loud noise makers and oversized balloons are not permitted. Following the ceremony, families are invited to a reception on the Kindergarten playground with refreshments, photos, and playtime. Volunteers are still needed and can sign up through Konstella. 8. ACTION REQUIRED: Please Return Your Child's Chromebook
All students must return their school-issued Chromebook and charger by Tuesday, 6/9, as WCCUSD transitions to a shared classroom Chromebook model beginning next school year. Your child can bring their Chromebook and charger to school as usual and leave it with their teacher at the end of the day. If the Chromebook is damaged or not working, please return it anyway.
9. School Bus Interest Survey for 2026-2027
We would like to determine the number of students who will ride the bus next school year to contract for the appropriate level of bus service. For those not familiar, this service makes it possible for families living far away from the campuses to transport their students. If there is any chance you might want your student(s) to ride the bus next year, please complete this interest survey by Friday, June 12. Filling this out does not mean you will have a spot on the bus, as there will be a separate application that will be sent out during the summer.
More information about the planned bus service will be forthcoming once the survey results are received and a bus contract is finalized. If there are any questions please email the Bus Communications team: buscommunications@wcmspta.org. This is especially the case if you haven't used the bus service before and have questions about how the bus operates beyond what is explained in the survey.
10. LLS After-School FUN DAY & 2026-2027 Enrollment
The Love. Learn. Success. after-school program will be holding a "Fun Day" on Thursday, June 11th. The Fun Day is only for students; families do not need to attend. Also, the LLS After-school Program Registration Now Open! 11. Sports Updates
BASKETBALL: Our basketball program wrapped up an incredible season with a fun-filled year-end celebration at Dave & Buster’s, where students and families came together to celebrate a season of growth, teamwork, and unforgettable memories. Thank you Coach Reggie Figgs and Mr. Brandon!
SOCCER: Our WCMS 4th-6th grade soccer teams participated in the WCCUSD tournament last weekend. They played hard and had a great showing! Thank you so much to parent volunteers Armando Paz and Phuong DeBellis for leading practices and organizing the teams. Go Pandas!
12. Extra Volunteer Help Needed (Elementary)
The elementary campus is currently short of yard supervisors for the remainder of the school year, and we could use additional volunteer support during drop-off, pick-up, snack, recess, and especially during lunch. 1. 校园搬迁—— 急需志愿者！
我们需要志愿者帮助老师们打包教室，尤其是在6月11日（周四）和12日（周五）。请在此报名参加这两天的志愿服务。此外，6月13日（周六）还将举办披萨打包派对，届时也需要志愿者帮忙。校园搬迁： WCMS将于2026年8月前搬迁至埃尔索布兰特市奥尔维尤大道1121号。如需了解详情和常见问题解答，请访问校园搬迁信息中心。如有任何疑问或想法，请发送电子邮件至transition@wcmspta.org。
2. 请于6月12日（周五）前完成学区设施调查。
学区正在更新其十年设施总体规划，并通过调查问卷征求反馈意见（非常重要——这将指导未来的资金和债券优先事项）。由于我校将于今年夏天搬迁至新校区，家长教师协会建议我们协调回复，以确保我们的需求得到重视。点击此链接参与调查，并查看 PTA 建议的回复内容。截止日期为6月12日，星期五 。
3. 放学后珍珠奶茶促销
五年级校外旅行筹款委员会 将于今天（6月5日）下午2:00至 3:00放学后举办珍珠奶茶促销活动！来一杯美味清爽的珍珠奶茶消暑解渴，同时还能支持我们明年五年级的科学过夜旅行。自带杯子，还能省一美元。
4. 熊猫快餐外卖 - 6月11日，星期四

5. 与WCMS一起庆祝六月节！
欢迎 WCMS 的学生、家长和教职员工于6 月 20 日星期六参加里士满六月节游行和庆祝活动，共同庆祝非裔美国人的历史、文化和社区。

6. 八年级毕业典礼
诚邀学生及家长参加 6月11日（星期四）下午6:00至7:30在索斯金中学体育馆举行的八年级毕业典礼。 请前往中学办公室领取入场券。入场券免费，但出于身份识别和安保目的，必须出示。如果您本人无法领取，并希望您的孩子代为领取，请发送电子邮件至westcountymandarin@wccusd.net告知学校。典礼结束后，将立即举行学生及家长招待会。为了让此次庆祝活动更加精彩难忘，充分表彰学生的辛勤付出和卓越成就，我们正在招募志愿者协助布置场地、准备茶点、布置场地和清理工作。志愿服务是支持和庆祝毕业生这一重要里程碑的绝佳方式。请点击此处报名。
7. 幼儿园毕业典礼指南
幼儿园毕业典礼将于6月12日（星期五）在皮诺尔中学体育馆举行。请各位家长于上午8:15前将孩子送到幼儿园入口处，孩子可穿着深蓝色上衣搭配卡其色裤子，或正式服装（无需佩戴毕业帽或毕业袍）。请各位家长将车辆停放在附近街道，避免占用学校停车场、商业停车场、车道和无障碍通道区域。体育馆将于上午9:00左右开放，所有来宾和学生如需在中午前离开，请务必登记。为确保所有来宾都能舒适地参加典礼，请勿携带噪音过大的物品和超大气球。典礼结束后，欢迎各位家长前往幼儿园操场参加招待会，届时将提供茶点、拍照留念和游戏时间。我们仍需要志愿者，请通过Konstella平台报名。如有任何疑问，请通过Konstella平台联系Karla Galvez-Lima。更多详情请点击此处查看。
8. 需采取的行动：请归还您孩子的 Chromebook 所有 TK-6 年级的学生必须在
6 月 9 日（星期二）
所有学生必须在6月9日（周二）之前归还学校配发的Chromebook及充电器，因为WCCUSD将从下一学年起转用教室共用Chromebook的模式。您的孩子可以像往常一样携带 Chromebook 和充电器到校，并在放学时交给老师。如果 Chromebook 损坏或无法正常工作，请务必归还。
9. 2026-2027 学年校车意向调查
我们希望确定下学年乘坐校车的学生人数，以便签订合适的校车服务合同。对于不熟悉这项服务的人来说，这使得居住在远离校园的家庭也能接送孩子上下学。如果您有意让您的孩子明年乘坐校车，请在6月12日（星期五） 前填写这份意向调查问卷。填写此问卷并不意味着您一定能获得校车名额，因为我们将在夏季另行寄送一份申请表。

10. LLS 课后趣味日& 2026-2027年度注册

11. 体育动态
篮球：我们的篮球队在 Dave & Buster's 举办了一场充满乐趣的年终庆祝活动，为精彩的赛季画上了圆满的句号。学生和家长齐聚一堂，共同庆祝这个充满成长、团队合作和难忘回忆的赛季。感谢 Figgs 教练和 Brandon 先生！
足球： 上周末，我们WCMS四至六年级的足球队参加了WCCUSD锦标赛。他们全力以赴，表现出色！非常感谢家长志愿者Armando Paz和Phuong DeBellis带领训练和组织球队。加油，熊猫队！
12. 小学急需志愿者：
