Hello families!
Looking forward to seeing many of you at the upcoming playdate at the school this Sunday. In the interim, please check out the various PTA committees on Konstella by going to "Directory" in the app and clicking "Browse Committees". There are many different groups to suit various areas of interest and/or expertise, and almost all of them could use help, whether you have 1 hour or 100 to spare!
Some of our more active committees include:
- Communications (includes Yearbook, Social Media, Website, Advocacy/Outreach)
- Fundraising (organizes fundraisers for the school, including dine-outs and the annual Sport-a-thon)
- Grants (writes/submits new grant applications to secure funding for school programs)
- Hospitality (provides food/drink and decorations at events)
- JEDI (develops programming focused on Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion)
- Library (coordinates volunteers to help read to students, maintain the school library, and organize the annual book fair)
- Sports (coordinates after school and weekend sports activities)
- STEAM (plans programming focused on science, technology, engineering, art, and math, including annual science fair and STEM family night)
Feel free to sign up for any committee that you would like to learn more about, and the committee chairs will reach out with more information. You can also email communicationsvp@wcmspta.org or send a message via Konstella if you have any questions in the interim.
So many of our programs rely on volunteer assistance from our dedicated parent and family community to run, so we hope you will consider joining us!
