The Fundraising Committee Chair is filled by the VP of Fundraising. This is a PTA Executive Board position. This person is responsible for overseeing the Fundraising Committee and creating a yearly fundraising plan. Swag includes student and adult t-shirts, car magnets, and iron on patches, etc. We will need help with keeping track of any change orders and creating a final order. Also we need help on distributing the orders, whether it is organizing pickup, or distributing the shirts in student backpacks.

This is the meat and potatoes of our fundraising efforts. The Direct Ask is an appeal to WCMS families listing the suggested donation per family per school year. We need 4 volunteers (2 support volunteers to print the letter and arrange distribution according to the dates and deadlines set by the lead; 1 support volunteer to arrange the digital distribution of the letter. 2 support volunteers to collect envelopes

#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. 1 person to work with the WCMS communications/communtiy outreach committee and our Direct ask team (Giving Tuesday will also serve as a follow up to our direct ask) to run WCMS online giving tuesday. Other volunteers needed to follow up on any businesses that offer matching donations

We need 1-3 people who can help print flyers at the WCMS office, and distribute them to the teacher's mailboxes. Printing flyers takes about 45 min for printing 1 page flyer, and is a job for 1 person. it is nice to rotate people. We will have flyers about 1-2x/month.

Appealing to various corporations, foundations etc to fund specific programs at our school. This can be done entirely remotely on your own schedule. We ask you commit to writing at least 1 grant this school year, and if awarded, the Grants Lead and team will coordinate implementation with the PTA Executive Board and Dr. Peterson, and coordinate final reporting requirements and timelines. We appreciate as many volunteers as possible!

Sets up dine out at, or visit a restaurant shop or business and WCMS will receive a percentage of a restaurant's earnings night/days for the dine out event. We have an existing list (i.e., Mod Pizza), we just need someone to set up the dates with the restaurants and coordinate the dine-outs so that the restaurants do not get too overwhelmed with orders. We could also use help with making flyers for dine out reminders.

We need 1-2 coordination lead per grade level to work with the Fundraising VP and Assistant to organize event, obtain volunteers for each grade level. These volunteers will be needed to help decorate, setup, and run the event, and clean up volunteer positions!

Volunteers are needed to explore and cultivate corporate donations to support the mission of our school. Don't have time to volunteer at the school? No problem, this position can be entirely done from home on the computer. Do you want to gain fundraising experience or develop new skills? This is the perfect place to expand your horizons. This committee will explore potential corporate donors, and develop/refine la strategy to gain sponsorships. Some volunteers may need to help research potential donors, help write letters, call donors and/or visit face to face. We can also learn how other organizations do research to target businesses to ask. We need your help!

Volunteers needed for a 6th grade trip to China or Taiwan. Ideally this committee will be lead by both 4th and 5th grade parents, so that we have continuity in fundraising for the subsequent years. This committee may explore grants and other community Fundraising ideas
