This committee is charged with exploring the possibility of changing the school name and, if one is selected, advocating for that change to the school district. The name West County Mandarin School has served us well, but now that we have all of our grades filled out and are preparing to promote our first class of 8th graders, we have an opportunity to ask if this is the name we want going forward. 
 
The committee will:

1. work with the student leadership groups to develop ideas
2. solicit feedback from the campus community
3. advocate to the school district to officially change our name if that is what the community decides.

Este comité se encarga de explorar la posibilidad de cambiar el nombre de la escuela y, de ser seleccionado, abogar por dicho cambio ante el distrito escolar. El nombre "Escuela Mandarín del Condado Oeste" nos ha funcionado bien, pero ahora que ya tenemos todos los grados completados y nos preparamos para promover a nuestra primera generación de 8.º grado, tenemos la oportunidad de preguntar si este es el nombre que queremos de ahora en adelante.
