As I end my two year term as President of the de Portola PTA, I would like to thank our parents and staff for their tireless efforts to make de Portola a better place.   During this time we've added a number of successful enrichment, social and fundraising programs while closely partnering with our teachers, Dr. Gomez and Mr. Morrow.

Thank you to all of the board members, committee chairs and room parents who stepped up to volunteer their time for our school...especially my predecessor Bryce Ashland and to the two individuals who offloaded so much of the work that landed on my plate, Sarah Moreta and Rachel Miller.   I also want to say farewell to our departing 6th grade families and to thank you for all your efforts through the years...especially past execs Kelli Gist, John Bouldin and Jeremy McCarty.  

Turning towards next year, I have begun transitioning to my successor Brigitte Sunseri and as part of next year's exec board I look forward to supporting her on the positive improvements she looks to bring to our school.  We are in need of some new faces to help drive the programs at our school and we particularly need parental volunteers of Kindergarten and 1st graders.  I can be reached until July 1st on the presdppta@gmail.com email alias at which time Brigitte will take it over.  Please feel free to reach out to either of us with any questions or to start a dialogue on how you can volunteer in either a small or substantial manner.
